ln 2013, RCSD has been the accused in a federal government lawsuit regarding religious beliefs in open public institutions after Northwest Rankin High School exposed students to required Christian assemblies. The situation resolved, but in 2014 the RCSD violated the settlement by inviting a Methodist preacher to guide a prayer during a Region wide honours ceremony. Tell Carlton Reeves of Mississippi'beds Southern Area dominated in favor of the PIaintiff in 2015.3In 2014 panel president Cecil McCrory, a former member of thé Mississippi Legislature, résigned from his position prior to a federal government indictment for crime actions,4involving private prison contracts with the Mississippi Division of Corrections. McCrory and Epps pleaded responsible to federal government fees in February of the following yr.5
